Full Stack Software Engineer

During work and education I was able to accumulate a lot of different skills in the field of computing. This allows me to develop web solutions from A-Z and cover a lot of use cases. Also I am still keen to learn new technologies and frameworks as in programming one never knows anything. Otherwise StackOverflow would probably not be that popular. On this page I will just present my preferred tech stack. I have also encountered many more languages and frameworks like Python, R or Eiffel during my studies and work, but if not hardly necessary I rely on the following tech stack

Databases

In my opinion it is very important to work out the structure of an applications data and properly store and index the states in order to cover a use case optimally. I gained experience with SQL databases (using MySQL, PostgreSQL and MariaDB) as well as NoSQL databases using MongoDB.

Continuous Integration

I set up continuous integration at work in order to improve development workflow. Not only did building and deployment take a lot of time, it was also very error prone. This is where automation of those processes could really help. Every build resulted in a Docker image (pushed to a private repo) for easy deployment. 

Micro Services

I developed a variety of Micro Services, covering all sort of funcitonalities - a Content Management System, Actuarial computations as well as security solutions. I used Spring Boot and the Spring Framework whenever possible, as it is one of the most powerful web framework to build business grade microservices.

User Interfaces

I developed some web frontends using the modern frameworks ReactJS and Angular. Both allow to easily build a modern UI with reusable components and services. Never being a born designer, there are also a variety of existing components, allowing to set up a Material Design UI very fast. With the webpack and babel integration on top this results in lightweight, powerful and functional web applications.
